Course description

BizTalk Server 2010 is Microsoft’s enterprise-scale platform for automating business processes; integration between enterprise apps; acting as a Message Broker for WCF and XML Web Services, and providing business activity monitoring.

This two-day instructor-led course (with an optional third day covering BizTalk best practices around design, infrastructure and operations) provides students with the knowledge and skills required to install and configure a computer running Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010. The course also shows you how to deploy and manage BizTalk applications in a production environment.

Who should attend

This course is intended for administrators who are responsible for managing a Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010 group.

Prerequisites

Prior experience with of BizTalk Server is not required, but at least one year of experience managing a Microsoft Windows Server environment is required, along with familiarity with systems such as Microsoft SQL Server and a scripting language such as Microsoft Script Host or Python.

BizTalk Server 2010 Administration Training Course

This course contains a total of seven modules.  The last two modules are optional and they are usually covered in an additional third day.  Each module contains multiple lessons.

“Introduction to BizTalk Server 2010,” - the core features of BizTalk Server 2010 and how messaging and orchestration services work.  Also, this module provides a look at what is new in BizTalk Server 2010.

“Installing a BizTalk Server Hosting Environment,” - how to install and configure BizTalk Server 2010.

“Deploying BizTalk Applications,”- how to deploy BizTalk Server applications.

“Managing BizTalk Applications,” - how to manage BizTalk Server applications.

“Administering a BizTalk Server Environment,” - how to script administrative actions and back-up BizTalk Server databases.

“Monitoring a BizTalk Environment with System Center Operations Manager,” - how to monitor a BizTalk environment using the Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010 Management Pack (MP) for System Center Operations Manager.
