Remote training attendance

Virtual Instructor-led training (VILT) is available for all our courses

We don't need to tell you what's going on in the World at the moment, but we're not going to let the pandemic stop us sharing knowledge.

All our training courses are available for remote attendance - we're by no means new to Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) but we've certainly had to adapt quickly to organising all our training to happen online!

We also appreciate you need greater flexibility right now. If you are part of a team - or are an individual - and you need remote training in modular chunks at times that suit you, or if you just want to focus on a very specific topic...or your project is hitting a stumbling block with a particular technology, we will be happy to explore cost-effective - and time-effective - ways to help you.

If you would like to chat to us about anything related to your learning needs, please give us a call on 020 3137 3920, use the form below, or mention you would like to attend remotely when you make an online booking (there will be a button for that soon!).

We have delivered lots of really well-received training via Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet and Webex - both in UK and internationally - and we are constantly inspecting and refining to ensure you get the best remote training experience.

You will be able to interact with your instructor, get course materials, share screens, pose questions over chat.

We also use services such as GitHub, Slack, Google Drive and AWS where appropriate to make sure you can gain practical experience while still guided by an expert practitioner.

Before your course, we will send you details about how to log in to the session, along with set-up instructions for your environment (for instance, installing Visual Studio, Docker, connecting to a Cloud service, downloading course materials and so forth).

Here's our guide to getting ready for remote training which talks about what you'll need - and some nice-to-have things to get the most from remote learning:

  • A comfortable seating position
  • A laptop
  • Ability to install your environment (for Software Development / DevOps / Data / Security courses)
  • Reasonable Internet connection
  • Ideally, a headset (headphones with a microphone)
  • A second monitor / screen is also helpful

We would love to hear from you
