If you're looking to set up a build machine for your .NET projects, but don't necessarily want to have Visual Studio installed, then this is the news you have been waiting for.
In their on-going and well-received efforts to nurture developer loyalty through embracing Open Source, Microsoft have released MSBuild on GitHub.
It just so happens MSBuild works with .NET 4.6 and Visual Studio 2015 - which are still in preview and yet to hit Release, but we we will be keeping a keen eye on and discussing the best new features during forthcoming .NET & Visual Studio courses.
