Humans learn best from humans
We help technical teams at organisations like CERN and IBM master complex technologies through hands-on, instructor-led workshops.
Your staff will receive training designed by experienced practitioners - domain experts in their respective fields.
You'll be joining thousands of technical professionals across the UK and beyond.
Whether you're a small business or a multi-national organisation, we will treat your learning goals with the same level of care and attention, from initial enquiry and scoping through to delivery and follow-up learning support.
Meet our team
Paula Anken
Office Manager
Previously an Executive Assistant to a main Board Director in for a major pharmaceutical organisation for 16 years, I was delighted when Framework hired me as their part-time Office Manager in 2018. It quickly grew from part time to full time as Tom and Ian trusted me with more of the business.
I am passionate about the relaxed atmosphere at Framework, combined with the team’s desire to provide excellent training and first-class customer service. I love my work and my colleagues feel like an extension of my family.
My ex-racehorses, Rose and Frankie, and two young Springer Spaniels, Charlie and Henry keep me busy out of office hours and ensure that I stay relatively fit!
Tom Walker
Technical Director
I started off my IT career back in ’97 working in (and later running) customer support for a popular multimedia publishing company. It was very rewarding and I look back on my time on the helpdesk with great fondness. Working closely with Tech Support I began to hone my geek credentials, and it was a natural progression from there via technical training management and sales for a couple of organisations - before co-founding Framework Training.
Outside the office, I am the drummer in a 90's indie throwback band, and also make electronic music. I'm beginning to be drawn into the world of sim racing too which is exciting and expensive in equal parts.

Ian Watson
Managing Director
After graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music and subsequently working as a freelance classical double bass player, I spent 20 years working in software services with the last 10 years in the software development training sector.
A passion for all things computer-related was sparked by receiving a ZX81 for my 9th birthday which was followed by a chain of much-loved home computers, most of which I still have.
Pleasant distractions from work include my young family, my guitars, way too many books, an obsession with cooking, fixing old cars, and a life-long love of sailing (both armchair and the real thing).
