About the course
During this half day on-line workshop you'll get the chance to explore and experience ways in which teams can work effectively together - whilst not being co-located. As well as taking a good look at tooling and working practices, we'll also focus on the human side of maintaining a healthy, collaborative team mentality and providing the level of interaction and support that you would expect to find in a physical office. This workshop has been designed by an expert agile practitioner and is ideally suited to teams who are finding remote working a challenge. You don't need to have any previous agile / Scrum experience though, as the methods we'll explore are applicable to all ways of working as a team.
This interactive half-day online workshop is specifically designed to address the unique challenges faced by teams working remotely, in a hybrid setup, or in a dispersed manner. Moving beyond simply using remote tools, the session delves into practical strategies and techniques for fostering effective collaboration, maintaining a strong team connection, and ensuring the level of interaction and support that is often easier to achieve in a co-located environment. The workshop explores best practices related to both the technology and working practices employed by remote teams, alongside a crucial focus on the human element – building trust, maintaining morale, and nurturing a collaborative team mentality across distance.
Drawing on insights from an expert agile practitioner, the workshop is ideally suited to teams currently finding remote working a challenge, whether due to difficulties with communication, collaboration tools, maintaining team cohesion, or adapting processes. Importantly, the methods and techniques explored are universally applicable and beneficial to any team working non-colocated, regardless of their specific methodology (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.). Through a blend of facilitated discussion, interactive exercises, and opportunities for participants to share their own challenges and experiences (via activities like Lean Coffee), attendees will gain tangible strategies and actionable insights they can apply immediately to enhance their dispersed team's effectiveness and overall working experience.
