The Scrum.org Professional Scrum Master (PSM) training course provides the know-how and tools to ensure that Scrum is understood and enacted well by your team.
This course covers the fundamentals of Scrum, comprising the framework, mechanics, and roles of Scrum.
The PSM course will teach you how to employ Scrum to increase value, improve productivity, and optimise the total cost of ownership of software products.
Course delegates learn through instructor-led presentations and guidance, and also team-based exercises which are aimed at making sure the techniques are tangible and can be properly implemented in the real world.
Scrum.org maintains the defined curriculum and materials for the Professional Scrum Master course and selects only the most qualified instructors to deliver this course. Each instructor lends his or her individual experience and expertise to the course, but all students learn the same core content. This improves their ability to pass the Professional Scrum Master assessments and use Scrum in the workplace.
Meet your instructor
Simon Reindl heads up our Scrum squad, and is responsible for having helped many large organisations gain traction and maintain velocity in large-scale Scrum implementations.
In addition to 7+ years as an Agile, Scrum & Kanban coach, Simon has donned the Scrum Developer, Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner hats for a wide variety of successful Agile projects.
He has a great wealth of experience working with people from all levels in order to maximise value and quality in their software product delivery.
He's a thoroughly nice chap too!
Scrum Master Certification
Unlike other Scrum certifications that require only class attendance, Scrum.org certification requires a minimum score on a rigorous assessment. The Professional Scrum Master course has two associated assessments with two levels of certification: PSM I and PSM II.
If you complete the Professional Scrum Master course you will receive a password to take the PSM I assessment one time within a 14-day period following the course. If you pass this assessment you will receive the industry-recognized "PSM I" certification and your name will be posted on the Professional Scrum Master I certification list.
In addition to the opportunity to take the PSM1 exam, the PSM workshop will also allow you to claim 8 Personal Development Units towards PMI certification.
