About the course
Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is re-emerging from its initial "Trough of Disillusionment" as a mature, enterprise-grade capability. Today, it is being utilized by financial institutions, governments, and global supply chains to remove the "operational tax" of disputes, reconciliation, and data silos. The most successful implementations are no longer driven by the technology itself, but by the business networks they empower.
This one-day strategic workshop cuts through the "technobabble" and hype. We move from the history of private ledgers to the modern "Slope of Enlightenment," where DLT creates verifiable trust for AI, real-world asset trading, and digital identity. Participants will gain a vendor-agnostic framework to identify genuine opportunities versus distractions, allowing them to define their organization’s DLT roadmap with confidence.
Instructor-led online and in-house face-to-face options are available - as part of a wider customised training programme, or as a standalone workshop, on-site at your offices or at one of many flexible meeting spaces in the UK and around the World.
-
By the end of this course, attendees will be able to:
- Articulate the Value: Explain the business case for DLT in terms of trust, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Identify Use Cases: Recognize high-potential applications like provenance (Tracr), digital debt (DIGIT), and verifiable data for AI.
- Apply a Decision Framework: Use a structured approach to evaluate DLT opportunities vs. traditional database solutions.
- Understand the Landscape: Differentiate between major platforms and interoperability trends.
- Define a Roadmap: Outline the first steps for a DLT pilot or programme within their specific industry context.
-
This workshop is designed for leaders who need to make informed decisions about digital transformation and cross-entity collaboration:
Senior Leaders & Executives: Shaping digital strategy and innovation.
Strategy & Architecture Teams: Evaluating long-term technology stacks.
Operations & Supply Chain Leaders: Solving for provenance, transparency, and trust challenges.
Compliance & Risk Officers: Navigating regulatory frameworks for shared, immutable records.
-
No prior technical knowledge of blockchain or DLT is required. The workshop is designed for business and strategic leaders; the focus is on value creation, business models, and strategic implementation rather than code.
